Kinds of Sentences
(Construction Wise)
If we see construction wise sentence is divided into three kinds:
The kind of sentence mostly has one basic verb and expresses one thought.
Example: I came from my home.
2. Compound Sentence:
Such kind of sentences express more than one thought. These sentences consist of more than one clause.
3. Complex Sentence:
Such kind of sentence expresses two or more thoughts. It consists of one principal and one or more than one clauses.
Examples:
(a) It is said that the dog is a faithful animal.
(b) He said to me that I was going right.

Meaning wise there are five major kinds of sentences:
It is a simple statement that conveys some news, etc... It can be positive or a negative.
Example: (a) Water keeps it level.
(b) Amjad went to college. (Positive)
(c) Amjad did not go to college. (Negative)
ii). Interrogative Sentence:
Such kind of sentence starts with helping verb or a question word (when, where, what,who, how, etc). It is always followed by a question mark.(?)
Example: Why do you like fishing?
Where do you live?
What is time by your watch?
